Macaroni cheese with spinach
vegetarian 

2oz macaroni cooked in unsalted water until soft
2oz fresh spinach 
4oz cottage cheese
10fl oz baby's usual milk

  • Put the spinach into a pan of boiling unsalted water for approx 10 seconds then drain off the water.
  • Mash or chop to the texture that’s right for your baby.

Makes 4 to 6 servings
Divide into portions and freeze when cool

 

Fish pie 

4oz white fish 
4fl oz l milk 
2oz cooked peas (tinned in water or frozen)  
2oz cooked sweetcorn (tinned in water or frozen) 
4oz boiled unsalted potatoes 
butter 
teaspoon fresh parsley (optional)

  • Poach the fish gently in l milk with a small knob of butter.
  • When cooked, remove the fish, retaining the milk, and remove all bones and skin from the fish.
  • Return all ingredients to the pan and heat through.
  • Mash or chop to the texture that’s right for your baby.

Makes 4 to 6 servings
Divide into portions and freeze when cool

 

Chicken and sweetcorn with rice 

6oz chicken breast 
8 fl oz l milk 
4oz cooked unsalted carrots and parsnips 
2oz cooked sweetcorn (tinned in water or frozen) 
4 dessertspoons baby rice 

  • Cut the chicken into thin strips and gently heat in pan with a little oil until cooked through. If the chicken seems to be getting too crisp on the outside add a little water to the pan to complete the cooking.
  • Remove the chicken from the pan and mix all the ingredients and mash or chop the food until the texture is right for your baby.

Makes 4 to 6 servings
Divide into portions and freeze when cool

Moroccan Roast Vegetables

1 Jar Mum’s Own Bolognese Sauce7
5g cous cous (cooked according to instructions on packet)
75g sweet potatoes
50g courgette
Knob of butter

  • Roast the sweet potato and courgette on a baking try with a little olive oil at 220oC (gas mark 7) for 30 minutes, turning occasionally.
  • Mix all the ingredients together and blend to desired consistency.
  • Reheat thoroughly and allow to cool to suitable temperature before serving.

Beef Chow Mein

1 jar Mum’s Own Beef Puree
75g unsalted, boiled noodles
25g spring onions
25g red peppers
1 clove garlic
1 tsp lemon juice
Pinch chilli powder
1 tsp Heinz Tomato Ketchup

  • Fry onions, peppers and garlic in olive oil until tender.
  • Add remaining ingredients and blend to desired consistency.
  • Reheat thoroughly and cool to suitable temperature before serving.

Curried Chick Peas and Vegetables

1 jar Mum’s Own Mixed Vegetables Puree
50g unsalted, boiled chick peas (or chick peas canned in unsalted water)
50g unsalted, boiled rice50g unsalted, boiled carrotstsp mild curry powder
2 tsp lemon juice

  • Mix ingredients together and blend to desired consistency.
  • Reheat thoroughly, and allow to cool to suitable temperature before serving.

Fruity Turkey Surprise

1 jar Mum’s Own Turkey Puree
75g cous cous (cooked according to instructions on packet)
50g chopped mango
52g green pepper
25g seedless grapes
1 tsp butter
1 tsp lemon juice

  • Mix ingredients together and blend to desired consistency.
  • Reheat thoroughly and allow to cool to suitable temperature before serving.

Oriental Chicken

1 jar Mum’s Own Chicken Puree
75g unsalted, boiled noodles
50g washed bean sprouts
30g red pepper
25g onion
1 tsp Chinese Five spice

  • Gently fry onion, red pepper and bean sprouts in a little olive oil, add the 5 Spice and stir in cooked noodles.
  • Add Mum’s Ingredients Chicken Puree and blend to desired consistency.
  • Reheat thoroughly and allow to cool to suitable temperature before serving.
